Requirements What is DFC How It Works Sample Tour Grading Scale Learning Log

The Discovery for Credit course enhances the experiences and deepens the knowledge students will acquire on their trip by providing independent web-based investigations. Students will enjoy the interactive, engaging and fun sites that make up the Discovery for Credit course.

The idea is simple! This online course gives students the opportunity to apply what they have learned towards a high school credit. Participants on a WorldStrides program can log on and begin their Discovery for Credit course work once they have registered and received their Customer ID#. Students will have fun examining educational websites that allow them to hear the voices of past presidents, play a game following Lewis and Clark on their journey to the Pacific Ocean , and complete a crossword puzzle about the American Revolution. Upon returning from their trip, students can submit their work and earn one semester elective credit towards their high school graduation.

This program is fully accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS) and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA).
