
The Smithsonian’s new Museum of the American Indian has opened its doors to the public. The museum houses over 8000 objects from across the Western Hemisphere, including paintings, movies, music, masks, and much more. The museum takes up the last remaining spot on the National Mall between the Capitol and the Washington Monument. Museum officials expect the museum to attract over 4 million visitors each year.
